Fellowship Springwatch

Our District Scout Fellowship have now moved in to their season of outdoor activites, having successfully completed an excellent indoor activity of 10 pin bowling in March, and the Fellowship AGM in April.

The first of these outdoor activities is on Tuesday 12th May, when the Fellowship have arranged another of their popular city walks. This one is called “Eastenders” and is a two hour guided tour of the “Mabgate” area of Leeds, starting from the Corn Exchange at 7pm.

Tuesday 16th June is crown green bowling night, at the very friendly venue of New Wortley Park, where everyone should meet at 6:45pm. The annual mystery trip is on Tuesday 21st July, ending at some unknown local hostelry for the always welcome evening meal.

If you would like to know more about the District's Scout Fellowship, or would like to join the ranks of this very active group, please click here to contact the District Commissioner.

Website Membership

Computer screenIf you attended the home contact training night on Thursday 22nd January, then you'll know a little bit about some of the benefits that being a member of the website gives.

Leaders can add articles to their group's news page, add events to their group's calendar (coming soon), edit their group's page and soon we'll be putting an online version of the district yearbook. For those in the Explorer Scout section, you can add news to the Explorer Scout News and Events pages respectively. Think of it as your local scouting yellow pages!

To get started, click here to register if you haven't already. You'll get an email when we've approved your registration. This service is only available to adult members within the district.  If you have any problems with this or indeed any part of the website, simply click here to email the district webteam.

Click here for the events diary (PDF), here for the meetings (PDF) and here for an excel spreadsheet with both on (XLS).

We will be adding the events and meetings to our Events & Activities calendar with time.

Sponsored Bounce-a-thon

Picard ESUThe Picard Unit Explorer Scouts are at it again! On Saturday 29th November, the Explorers will be bravely taking to a bouncy castle to help raise money for Martin House Hospice and their sponsoring authority's, St Andrew's Church, funds.

As part of the church's coffee morning, they aim to keep at least 3 members continually "on the bounce" for 12 hours. Bouncing starts at 7am, tea and coffee from 9:30 and then the vital supplies aka bacon butties from 10am.

Please come and support us if you can at St Andrew's Church, Robin Lane, Pudsey between 7 and 7 - see the explorers and their leaders jump themselves silly for charity. Don't forget your spare change!
